Chapter 12

Andrei was sitting in his office, going through some documents. He was so busy because the deal with Luke’s company was still not closed, and the support he was expecting was yet to arrive. He was starting to get pissed when his phone rang. He looked at the caller’s ID and saw it was Luke, he quickly picked it up.

“Mr. Luke, I have been waiting for your call. I hope you have good news?” Andrei tried to calm down and make his voice amiable as he answered the call.

“I called to break the contract.” These were the only short words by Luke. Andrei was surprised and quickly straightened in his seat.

“What? Luke, this is certainly not what we talked about,” Andrei gritted his teeth as he gripped his phone hard.

“It is. That is why I am breaking off the contract. You almost pulled me into the mud with you. Tss.” Luke said as he quickly hung up the phone. Andrei cursed as he heard the beeping sound on the other line.
