Chapter 117. Dagger

I feel his lips slowly moving toward my ear until I hear him say, "Someone is watching us," he whispers, sending shivers down my spine. His kiss on my neck makes it hard for me to hear what he is saying.

"Do you have a dagger?" he asks, his eyes searching for a weapon.

"I do," I reply, finally waking up, and carefully wrap my arms around his neck. I then pull myself up just enough to whisper back, "It is strapped to my thigh."

He takes a deep breath, his hand between my legs, and I can't help but feel a mixture of anticipation and nervousness. He pulls on the dagger and takes it off.

I quickly move out of the way, and he throws the knife at the person he saw.

Right away, two more people jump out of the bushes. I take off the knife that was on my ankle, and Lexcis takes the gun from the person he killed.

I charge at one man while Lexcis goes after another. But my fight is over quickly
