Chapter 153. Can’t Wait

He hands me the fruit and instructs me to wait at the lake while he grabs a few things. I walk over to the blue lake and sit down in front of it.

It is beautiful. We were here at night the last time. Even though the moonlight made it feel lovely, I think the sun makes it even better.

Lexcis says to me as he walks toward me, "I wanted to do this tonight, but since you couldn't wait..."

A small blanket is in his hand, and a basket is around his arm. "Get up," he says with a smile.

He leads me somewhere else by taking my hand. "Where are we going?"

"Do not ask. Do not stop going."

"Alright." I laugh and roll my eyes.

I can still see the lake, but now I hear something else. Lots of noise and water moving down. It turns out to be a waterfall, as I thought, when Lexcis pushes back some trees and pulls us through.
