Chapter 440. Before the Gala

Lady Eirene, Zion, Lord Marin, and the dozens of children greet us as well. When I say children I don't mean infants. Some of them are probably triple my age.

Once the unnecessarily long greeting is done, we settle back down. The tables are exceptionally long. The most important people sit closer to us while the others are sitting somewhere else, at other tables.

Zave is sitting at my side, to the right with Laurence and Aldric next to him. While Mera is sitting at Chantel's side to the left with Veronica and Zillah beside her. Caen is somewhere further at the back sitting together with Khalid... I'm not surprised.
