The door opens and apparently, it's Aldric who decides to join us out of the blue, "So this how you've been keeping it secret?"

Chantel's eyes instantly water, "He knows?"

I begrudgingly nod, sending him my threatening look.

"He knows before Lexcis?" And that's when she begins to cry. "Everyone knows before him! It's not fair." Full-on sobbing right now.

"Great. Give her a hug or something, you idiot!" I hiss but she shakes her head.

"I don't want a hug from you! I want Lexcis."

"Well? Go get him!" Aldric screams at me.

"And tell him what? She's crying because he doesn't know that she's pregnant?"
