"Hi, my love." Lexcis flashes a smile at me when I open my eyes, trying to accommodate to the amount of light that's shining in through the windows.

"No, don't get up." He gently pushes me back down by my shoulders. Adjusting my pillow. "Are you comfortable?"

"Yeah, Lexcis wh-"

"Open your mouth,"

I frown but do it. The instant my lips part he places a thermometer into my mouth. Is he seriously checking my temperature?

"Good." He smiles. "Take these." he shoves a few pills into my hand and holds a glass of water in his hand.

Again, I do as he says and it makes him smile brightly. "Good." He nods. "And now obviously this." He calls out to the maids right outside the door and they come strolling in with carts filled with food.
