Chapter 70. Flashbacks

The moment he takes a step closer, I trip and land on my behind.

I cannot get up because he is squatting in front of me and putting a knife to my throat.

"All you do is assume and make up your own stories," he talks to me in a whisper.

"You are not going to kill me," I answer.

He is out of breath and gasping. "What makes you think that?"

"You should have done it by now; you have had many chances."

I slowly press my throat against the knife some more until I feel blood coming down to my chest. This is to show my point.

"Don't," he tells me, "What the fuck are you doing?!"

"What the heck? That is what you want, right? Come on, I can't do anything right now. Make the most of it, go ahead. Get rid of me."

Lexcis shuts his eyes and says, "I won't."
