"I thought we were going to our-" He silences me with his lips and it's a feeling that I can't resist so I don't fight to get my words out. Instead, I surrender to this sweet attack on my mouth. He leaves me breathless, just how he wants me to be.
"We are. But she's asleep right now and I want to spend some time with my wife. Is that so bad?"
I laugh, "No, no, it's not. I just feel guilty. Do you have that too?"
He nods, brushing his hand over my hair, "Yes. All the time. We're with her almost constantly darling. But the guilt is just undeniably there. I think it's good. It means that we won't be like them."
"You're right," I let out a breath of relief, he kissed my cheek and made me chuckle.
"I am always right."
"Hmm, I doubt that." I tease, poking his dimple.
"When have I ever been wrong?"
