Chapter 859. Our Girl’s Safety

I let go of Chantel while she rolls out of my arms, laughing like an idiot.

"That was fun, huh?" She chuckles, laying on the ground with her blood-covered clothes.

"Yeah, very fun. I love worrying about your safety. About our girl's safety."

"Yeah no, that part wasn't fun... But I knew you two were safe so for me it was a much better experience. And look! We pulled it off, a bomb-"

A loud grating noise shakes the car and we frown at each other. I hastily helped her up. We both recognize what's happening. I know what this sound means and she recognizes my looks.

"Fuck," I curse before surging toward the door. The car is breaking down. We can either rush to the other car and watch this one take the whole train down or we press the button to release this car from the others.

The latter is what we do. I pull the lever down while Chantel signals to Zave that we're okay
