To say Troy was shocked would be an understatement. He couldn’t believe the girl he loved for years had the same feelings for him. Even though Danica’s confession melted his heart, he was reminded of how she didn’t tell him the reason for leaving him behind three years ago.

How could he accept her without knowing the real reason for her leaving when he took an oath of not confessing his love to her until she opened up about her past?

Thinking of it, Troy didn’t kiss her back. It was hard to resist her, but he had to.

Noticing that he didn’t kiss her back, Danica stopped the kiss and ran a hand through his soft chestnut hair. “I am not forcing you to answer me.” She smiled warmly and said, “You can answer me whenever you want. I will wait for your answer, but till then, I will continue expressing my love for you.”

Troy continued looking at her, unable to answer.
