"Oh, there you are, Raymond. Has the message been delivered?" Almera said as she appeared from the little kitchen.

"Yes, Almera, another war is coming. And I believe it is the earliest."He replied and took a seat on the dining stool and ate the single piece of leftover rye bread and continued, "Commander Jefferson’s manor was attacked, and I don't know what happened next. Lord Henry of Whiteland was there and unconscious though."

"Really?"

"Yes, and even Commander Jefferson as well. I believe their wine has been contaminated with wolfsbane. But I fear for the young Elizabeth. It seems like she was the target. I am not certain, but I'll find out soon enough."

"Then we should inform Tomas about it. After all, he…" Almera trailed off and looked at the unconscious young lad. With her worry, she knows there must be balance. It was keeping them safe. They must be safe enough to live well and fight this war.
