Chapter 41. The Summit
Charlotte’s POV
The next day, we were already close to the mountain; I could see why they called it Claw Mountain—it had three huge segments sticking out at the top.
We ran towards the mountain, and I felt a chill in the air. What was that? I looked towards Iris and the queen, and all of them looked bewildered as well. Hunter was also clenching his sword, ready to draw it at the drop of a pin.
We stood motionless for about five minutes before continuing. We started climbing the mountain, the queen leading the way. Hunter still didn’t let me carry him, so he climbed it normally, managing to match our speed for some reason. I was scared that he would slip and fall, but he was quite skilled at it.
