Hunter’s POV

I had just battled against the Krent pack wolf. It wasn’t like anything I have experienced before; it stood on two legs, was faster, and its fighting patterns were very different. Not to mention, my previous battle with the Alphas left me injured. I wished they gave me enough time to think about their offer.

Trying to convince the Sun Order to team up with the Northern werewolves or to destroy humanity’s supply of wolfsbane, our main weapon against the werewolves, was unlikely, while the other was basically treason.

What was worse is that Charlotte wanted to involve herself in such a matter by defending me. The last thing I want is for her to become an outcast again to her people. She’s better off leaving this matter to me.
