Chapter 148. Burns

Davina laid on the bed with her eyes closed and I held her hand. Skye sat beside her, looking intently at her.

Camila placed her hand on my shoulder giving me support.

Slowly Davina opened her eyes. "Mum?" She called, trying to sit up and Skye helped her up.

"Davina," I said, tears choking my throat as I pulled her closer to me.

"Are you alright?" I asked her as I pulled her studying her.

"Yes, mum," she said, looking around. "Why's everyone staring at me?" She asked, hiding her face in Skye's chest.

"How're you feeling, Davina?" Skye asked.

"I feel weak, dad." She replied.

"She's alright now. She's no longer in the possession of the demon king. She's free." Mariya said and I heaved a sigh of relief.
