Chapter 125

Claire’s POV

Luke took care of me all night. He made sure I was comfortable. He didn’t even go to work just to take care of me.

“Mia and Arlo wanted to visit you. Do you want them around?” he asked.

“Yes, maybe I’ll feel a lot better,” I chuckled.

I waited for the two to arrive, I’m pretty sure they brought something because they never go here in our house empty handed. This is the first time I felt excited about the food they will actually bring even though I didn’t know what it was. I’m not the person who has a big appetite, but today I feel like I could eat a whole roasted chicken.

I looked at myself in front of a mirror, nothing has changed in my body yet but I feel different. Am I pregnant? I asked myself. I feel excited and nervous all at once. Excited to give Luke a child and nervous to lose this one again, but I’m not sure yet. I need to confirm this first before telling Luke, I don’t want to disappoint him if this is a false alarm.
