Chapter 145

Claire’s POV

Sebi suddenly woke up and cried and I laughed looking at Luke.

“Sorry,” I chuckled.

I went to Sebi to give him a bottle of milk, and let him sleep again afterwards. Luke lay beside me and we cuddled until we fell asleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

We checked out of the hotel and went to my mother’s house to visit her and Caleb.

“Mom?” I look for her inside the house. I already asked our helpers where she is and they told me she might be in her room.

I walked quietly to my mom’s room while holding baby Sebi’s hand, I heard someone sobbing. I look at Luke who seemed to hear the cries inside the room as well.

“Take Sebi with you,” I said and he understood me.

I opened the door of my mom’s room and found her in bed, sobbing. When she saw me she cried even more.

“What happened?” I asked her.

“I miss your dad,” she said. I sighed and didn’t know what to say, I just stayed with her until she calmed down.<
