2 Days to The Ancient Rites.

Two days. That is the time left before the ancient rites, and the danger of what might happen sat on my chest no matter how I tried to shake it. I have gone over my schedules at least a dozen times already, but it didn’t stop me from mentally retracing them again as I walked the corridor of the packhouse. I'm just so exhausted

Damian had arranged for me to meet a healer today, someone to prepare me mentally and emotionally for what was to come. He said it wasn’t just about strength of body but strength of mind, and part of me was scared . Maybe if I was grounded, calmer, I wouldn’t feel like I was walking toward an inevitable death. After the session with the healer, I was supposed to meet Kieran later in the night. That alone stirred up its own mess of nerves inside me.
