“Please babe, let me say something to them,” I whispered softly to Kieran.

I didn’t plan to speak.

Honestly, I didn’t even plan to walk into this hall. The moment I stepped inside with Valerie, all those Alphas turned to look at me like I was some kind of trouble they wished they could avoid, my whole body tightened.

For a second, I wished Kieran would step forward and speak for me. Or Lucas. Or anyone. But I felt that small push inside my chest, a reminder that this wasn’t their battle alone.

It was mine too. And if I kept hiding behind them, nothing would change.
