Kieran’s POV

The moment I felt his presence, My wolf stirred instantly, not with excitement for battle, but with something darker. Danger. Death. My blood pumped hard in deep hatred and hurt.

I turned and saw him.

The Demon King walked through the battlefield like it didn’t exist. I watched as my warriors fell without him touching them. Demons that even belonged to him died for simply being in his way. The ground split beneath his feet, the air bending around him like it couldn’t hold his presence.

And he was coming straight for us. For her.

My hand tightened around my sword. I stepped forward and planted myself between him and Sienna. Before he gets here, he has to kill me first.

Behind me, I felt her sienna shift, felt the faint pull of our bond tighten with fear and something stronger, her refusal. She was trying to tell me to stay back but I disconnected our mind that was linked together. Nothing was going to stop me.
