Rain’s POV

Darkmoon Pack.

I knew sneaking into the palace was a bad idea. But did that stop me? Absolutely not. My blood pumped with excitement as I dragged Valerie inside the gate. There were no guards at the main gate this evening and that was a relief. We couldn't pass through the main doors cause we will definitely be caught.

So I dragged “lazy” Valerie to the mansion's backdoor as it was even easier getting to the kitchen that way. We slipped past some guards who were too engrossed in their chitchats to notice us.

Our mission? Simple. Visit Tessa, her mother. It had been a while, and honestly, I missed the woman’s warm meals more than I’d ever admit. There's something about eating the food from the palace. It's just so rich rather than the sick and tasteless food we eat at home
