Chapter 27. Checking a Guy Out

Once they were in his office, he spoke again. “Take off your sweater for me.” The whole thing came out with a chuckle, but he cleared his throat and carried on talking. “So, I can check your blood pressure.”

“Here,” he said as he handed her a plate. She looked up at him but his smile stopped her from talking. “I need to feed you in case you try to eat me.”
