Chapter 266. When the Journey Ends

Although I wanted to take this long journey as a family vacation, I knew it wasn’t. As time went by and we got closer to our destination in Fabricio’s kingdom, I started to feel more nervous. I even started biting my nails, unable to control it. “Miracle,” every time I heard that word I felt my blood run cold with fear.

The nausea returned, day after day. That made me suspect that perhaps I could be pregnant, it was logical. I had only had one child. My mother looked at me as if she was guessing my thoughts. We were in the carriage, the movement of the wheels made me feel more intense dizziness.

“Daughter, your pregnancy symptoms are quite noticeable already,” she said, observing me intently.

We seemed to have patched up our differences on the trip, which were so many that they never ended.

“I don’t know, I don’t feel like it’s a baby, but I do feel bad…” I replied, timidly. I found it difficult to talk about these topics in public, even though the
