“They’ll be back soon,” Carmen said, carrying Cethium, who was starting to get fussy after hours without his father.
He swiped at me and Carmen too. I laughed, because it obviously didn’t hurt me. But it was funny to see how serious and grumpy he was.
“Hey, you’re acting like a rebel, son,” I said between laughs, trying to pick him up again.
He pushed me away angrily again. So when I put him in his crib alone, he was quiet. Nico, on the other hand, stretched out his arms for me to pick him up. It was funny too, because it seemed like he felt bad when he saw his brother rejecting me and wanted to make me smile.
“Your brother is a grouch,” I said as I carried him to the window so we could look at the scenery.
