Chapter 82. In the Middle of Chaos

The outside didn’t show too promising images. Lion helped me out, and soon, we were safe outside the house, watching it collapse entirely in flames. It had been a luxurious mansion, and now it crumbled like it was made entirely of paper. The screams kept multiplying.
A blow made Lion fall to the ground. The fanatic who attacked him had a metal bar that hit him straight in the face. The sound of his nose breaking could be heard. As the attacker turned around, I was able to defeat him and push him aside. The effect of the pepper was almost gone. It hadn’t been serious; that guy hadn’t wanted to hurt me, just distract me to buy time.
“There was a tunnel there,” I said to Lion as I helped him up. We were still in dangerous territory. The attacks kept coming, even though the house was being destroyed.
“What?” he asked, not understanding what I said. Lion was looking for Clarisa.
“Where are the prisoners?” I asked.
It was the most important thing.
