"The rain doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon," I commented, sitting in Aiden's car as torrents of rain pounded against the windows. We were trapped inside the vehicle, unable to step out due to the relentless downpour. The doormen who usually provided umbrellas were nowhere to be seen, as the rain was far too heavy even for them. It was the kind of rain that turned umbrellas inside out and sent them soaring through the air. Outside, the underground parking lot was likely packed with cars due to rush hour, leaving us stuck in front of the building with the car's heater on and the engine running.
