Chapter 47. You Missed Me

Everything seems to be back to normal again or almost normal, no attempts have been made on my life so far. Ruby is still avoiding me. I asked her why the other morning, and she looked cornered for a few seconds before dashing out of the room. It was a stupid question to ask though, why would she not avoid it? Not only am I her ex-bully but her unwanted husband who she happened to lose her virginity to, by mistake, I suppose.

She was now so successful at avoiding me that it almost felt like I lived alone, her avoidance techniques remind me of high school. She avoided my group of friends and I so much but we always found her and brought trouble her way.

'I observed Ruby from where I sat, surrounded by my group of friends at the popular table in the cafeteria. She paid for her lunch and waited anxiously for the lunch lady to serve her. After getting her food, she said a quick thank you and hurried off to her usual spot on the bleachers.
