Chapter 137
Gabriel’s POV
We had immediately zapped from the donjon to the outskirts of the Abode, just right on top of the hill that overlooks the abode. It felt good to breathe in fresh air once more, rather than the stale air of the suffocating donjon. The stranger took deep breaths. He seemed to savour every breath that rushed down his lungs, and I wondered how long he had been down there.
“How did you do that?” I asked, shocked and surprised by the brazen display of magic by this stranger I’ve never seen anyone with such magical powers.
“There’s always a first time for everything,” the man seemed impatient as though he would rather be somewhere else rather than stay with Gabriel, now, what do you want me to offer you for releasing me?
“You won’t even tell me your name? how you got imprisoned? Where are you running off to?”
“That is a long story for another time,” he replied, “I have important places to be. Now, what do you want?”
