Chapter 260. Sweet Talk

Edward’s eyes widened as I poked his chest with my index finger and grinned at him. When Edward started laughing loudly at my response, it was my turn to feel a little stunned.

“You really are sweet talking me, not that I hate it…” Edward said after he managed to control his own laughter.

Without warning, he scooped me up into his arms and I cried out his name as I threw my arms around his neck. Edward carried me swiftly to our bedroom. The children were already in bed and the mansion was silent and peaceful. It was a stark contrast to the loud and slightly chaotic atmosphere in the mansion when the children were up and about.

“Are you tired?” Edward asked after carefully placing me on the bed.

“A little…” I admitted. The party was exciting, but it took quite a bit of energy from me.
