Chapter 39

Sofia finally found the courage to reach out to Diego after she left Mateo, and she couldn't deny the fact that the moral boost she needed to talk to Diego had been aided by Mateo.

Despite everything being awkward, Sofia knew that the best way to understand how Mateo was feeling at the moment was to ask him how he was feeling, and she knew the only way she could do that was if she summoned the courage to grab her phone and call him which she did a minute after procrastinating over and over again.

"Hello, Diego," Sofia said on the line. "It is me, Sofia."
