Juan raised his hand for silence once more. "I have decided to name Sofia as my successor."

Instantly, a chorus of shocked gasps and growls erupted from the assembled werewolves. Never in their history had a female been named the ruling Alpha.

"Silence!" Juan's deep voice carried an edge that brooked no argument. "You all know Sofia - her bravery, her cunning, her dedication to our pack. While her gender may diverge from tradition, her strength and leadership undeniably uphold the highest ideals we hold sacred."

He gestured for Sofia to join him before the crowd. The striking she-wolf stood tall and proud, her piercing eyes scanning the masses unflinchingly.

"In the trials to come, I have no doubts Sofia will prove herself worthy beyond any of your reservations," Juan declared. "But know that this is my final decision as your Alpha. Any who cannot accept this face permanent exile."
