Chapter 29. Trying to Move On

"Is it Colton's?" Sofia couldn't help but ask her, dreading her answer already. By now she was sure that this was the reason Victoria hadn't come over to see her, to avoid Colton. Did he decline responsibility for the baby?

"No, it's his friend's. I was too drunk and he took advantage of me, " said Victoria in a hoarse voice. Sofia clasped her heart horrified by her twin's statement. She obviously hadn't expected to hear that.

"Does Colton know about it?" she asked angrily, her whole body burning with mad fury, a need to teach someone a lesson.

"Yes, he doesn't care about me. He doesn't love me. I was foolish enough to fall for him. I just met his friend a few times to get Colton jealous but he took advantage of me," choked Victoria as she burst into hopeless tears. These were the tears she had bottled up inside her for months and they finally found a vent, refusing to stop.
