I give Adriana a confused look, trying to be sure I heard her right. I did, although I didn't want to believe it.

"No, that's not a good idea." I try to ignore the pang I feel in my chest at telling her no, but what she is asking for is something I can't do. Something I won't do.

"It is our best bet," the ache in her voice makes me almost cave. I shake my head, not letting the sweetness of her voice make me change my mind.

I found time to tell her about her Dreaya, I found myself telling her about it even before she asked. She had taken it all good, the fact that my father's stepsister has always wanted to kill me, have tried to kill me but haven't succeeded, and that she helped in killing him. That wasn't really a problem, he was a heartless bastard.

"She is only going to bring more problems, Daciana is strong." I say the last part, trying to convince both myself and her.
