Chapter 9
Freya Rose
Mason didn't reply but obeyed and sat next to me, instantly pulling me towards him. I buried my head in his neck and whispered,
“What's happening to me, Mason?” I held back a sob because I was so tired of crying. I'd cried too damn much over the last few days.
“You just ascended, Fi,” he answered.
I didn't know if he expected me to understand what that meant, but I didn’t, and it pissed me off. Damien stood in front of me and held his phone up.
“Freya, look at me please.”
I looked up at him and he snapped a picture. He turned the phone around for me to see.
I’ve been here before, I thought to myself as I remembered when Tristan had taken a picture of my eyes to show me. I wonder what I'm going to see this time.
“Wow,” I gasped as I instantly snatched the phone from his hand.
