Chapter 183. Relentless Horde
Eryndor’s POV
The moment I finished bidding farewell to the werewolves of the Poppy Pack, I set off at a dead run in the direction where I thought the humans should be. I prayed silently that nothing untoward had befallen them during my absence. My boots hammered the forest floor as I sprinted, branches whipping at my cloak, and each racing heartbeat urged me onward.
As I pressed on, the familiar tangle of trees and undergrowth gradually gave way to a more forbidding terrain. The forest underfoot grew sparse, and the ground began to rise into a craggy plateau. Sharp-edged rocks jutted skyward, and the soil cracked loudly beneath each of my steps.
Though I was initially wary of triggering a rockslide, the stones appeared neither loose nor precariously balanced. They were weathered and fractured, yet not so high or unstable as to tumble en masse. Moreover, I was confident that Auraya and the others—armed and capable as they were—could easily smash any stubbor
