Chapter 201. Return to Westeria
Lira’s POV
The instant I seized the Gaze of Eternis, my magic flared to life, and in the blink of an eye we were all standing before the great gate of Westeria. I could still feel the residual tingle of teleportation buzzing through my veins as I stared down at that glowing ruby gem in my right hand. Anger coiled in my chest like a serpent.
“Damn you, Celeste!” I snarled, balling the gem so tightly my knuckles turned white. “If you hadn’t interfered, Leon would have been mine. I would have brought him with me—if you hadn’t stopped me, you stupid idiot!” My voice echoed down the deserted causeway, raw with fury and frustration.
“Calm down, my Luna,” Seline soothed, extending her left hand in a gesture of peace. “We succeeded in claiming the Eye of the Drifter all because of you, and we’re safe here thanks to you. You truly are a marvelous and graceful Luna.” Her gentle words melted some of my ire away, leaving behind only a smoldering frustration.
