Chapter 15. Neglected Beach Project

“A bomb! There’s a bomb!” One citizen shouted as soon as he spotted the bomb in the bag. All citizens moved backward, shouting and scared about the possibilities.

At the same time, Lt. Aaron Keating looked at the timer blinking on its screen. It showed they only had five minutes before it exploded. The counter moved too fast, with time dropping in every blink of his eyes. If not settled, humanity would be at significant risk, including the Canis Force and Clover on the beach.

Clover, on his side, had a blank mind, while Chief Johnson, with the troops, secured others. They all had expected it to happen, and there should be a scene like that, and they were not wrong.

Aaron was afraid it would explode anytime soon as the timer reached zero. Thus, he did his best to defuse and scan the bomb. There were red and green wires, hard to cut because he knew that missing the wrong wire would also make the bomb explode.
