Chapter 16. The Vampires’ Attack

The truck was striding towards the south, heading to the locale of the Unity League Camp. In front of them was a peak and the sun, which almost hid behind it, generating a magnificent yellow-orange panorama of the sky. Inside the truck were Clover, Chief Johnson, and the forces of Canis Force, heading to the camp to scout for feasible schemes in the area. They were modest and observant of the view they could see around on their way.

‘What awaits us there?’ Clover thought and didn’t know why she felt skeptical, reconsidering the camp. It was her father’s will to let her go out, not the Head Guardian.

Chief Johnson cleared his throat and broke the silence between them. “Clover,” he said, gathering Clover’s scrutiny.

It made Clover grimace at him. “Hmm?”

“I am on your back and fully optimistic about protecting the races. If you want to protect the safety of the majority regardless of their race, then I, the leader of Canis Force, should do my best to do the same
