"I'm not staying with you. What happened this afternoon won't happen again." Giovanna said amiably. She wanted to confuse him.
Luc looked at her through the glass of whisky.
"Are you sure?"
"Of course. There were some things I heard the other women saying about you at the party in the hall. A terrible party, by the way! There was no music, no drink and nothing to eat. Are your parties always this unpleasant? But it doesn't matter. As I understand it, I'm only staying here for a month. I hope you don't make me attend these events again. What really matters is what I heard the women saying about you after your abrupt departure. Would you like to hear it?" Giovanna spoke hurriedly and saw the glint of interest in his eye.
"Is there any point in me saying I don't want to know?"
"They said you're ugly, disgusting, repulsive and that your smell makes them want to vomit." Giov
