Chapter 106. The Doctor and the Monster

As soon as Luc left her alone, Giovanna tried to look around. An idea occurred to her, but she needed to improve her health first. Freya's plan was a good one, but since she was no longer Luna, she would have to make some changes and she didn't intend to involve her best friend, as she feared she would suffer retaliation after her escape. A doctor entered the room and started injecting medicine into the IV. Giovanna felt a bitter taste in her mouth.

"What did you put in that IV?"

He stared at her, looking relieved at her awareness.

"It's a painkiller. I'm doing everything I can to make it as uncomfortable as possible for you..."
