Chapter 105. Unwanted

Giovanna heard angry voices around her, but they didn't seem to be trying to disturb her and she slowly opened her eyes. She could see where she was. The sound of equipment was familiar. She was in a hospital. She tried to get up, but every bone in her body ached and it was so unexpected that she groaned and everyone fell silent. She felt them approach the bed and saw Theo staring at her in relief.

"What were you trying to do? Did you fall or jump?" he asked nervously.

"I... Damn it, I survived." Giovanna said and saw Theo turn around.

"She jumped! What did you do to make her want to kill herself?" He shouted at someone and soon another pair of green eyes entered his field of vision.

"You'll need to ask her."

Freya also appeared in his field of vision and was visibly frightened.

"Let me be alone with her, please." Freya asked and the two men left.
