Chapter 151. A Kingdom without Alphas Part 6

The guards accompanying the king approached, ready to move in and arrest them on the werewolf king's orders. Grace realised and shouted at her father.

"Let us go in peace! Otherwise there will be useless bloodshed, because we're outnumbered, and it's not war time yet. It's madness to try to stop us now!"

The king knew what she was saying was true, but he had another reason for stopping all this. A reason he only realised many years later, and he signalled for his werewolves to move away.

"Go in peace! But I warn you never to set foot here again! Or you will pay with your life! Werewolves can kill other werewolves. This isn't going to be a man's fight where the man with the most soldiers wins. Between us, he who has the most strength wins."

Grace returned to the carriage, accompanied by Victor, when she realised that they were leaving to continue their journey.
