Julie stared at him with wide eyes. Luc would still be hers. Giovanna had another Alpha. She didn't deserve to have Luc, either. He didn't seem to think so. But the next thing he knew, he'd be so involved with her that he'd get careless and Giovanna would find out and leave him. Everyone knew that Luna wasn't jealous. But she was proud. She wouldn't accept a betrayal from him. And so she would have him all to herself. And she'd know how to look after him better. He would feel the difference. Giovanna was too cold. She didn't know how to value the man she had and was always involved with the other Alpha. Luc would have liked to have a woman all to himself, who he didn't have to share with anyone. Maybe he didn't know it yet, but that's what he was looking for in her. A mate with whom he could lie down and have just the two of them in bed, without the shadow of another man. No competition. And that's what she would give him.
