Chapter 3. Abused

Giovanna felt sleepy and went to sleep. When she woke up, she realised that the clothes she was wearing were not the same ones she had gone to bed in. She didn't want to think about it, and she didn't have time either. Anne told her that Henry would be travelling on business for a week and that she should keep the house clean and prepare meals for Anne and her friends.

Giovanna felt bad about the situation at first. She didn't know how to do her homework and Anne had a very effective teaching method. She kicked and punched her every time she had to explain how to do something. Giovanna learnt quickly. But she didn't like Anne's friends. Especially the smell they gave off. It was absurdly repellent to Giovanna. But she forced herself to disguise it to avoid Anne's jabs.

The week took forever to pass. But Giovanna wouldn't have been in a hurry if she'd known that that bad week was nothing compared to what would happen next.
