Chapter 141. The Secrets of Fawncity
Connor hadn't stopped talking about the wonders of the place where he lived at any time since they got into his car, but neither Luc nor Giovanna listened to him. They were both lost in their own thoughts. Giovanna, enchanted by what she saw and bothered by what she felt for her fiancé's brother. She realized that the more time she spent around him, the more she wanted him and she didn't want to be like that. She didn't want to be the Luna in the book.
Luc's thoughts were disturbing. He knew he was running out of time. Perhaps taking Giovanna there, where she would begin a journey to her destiny, hadn't been such a good idea.
They got out of the car and Giovanna realized that the houses were made of natural stone, stacked and joined together with mortar, topped by thatched roofs covered with a layer of plaster. And the people dressed as if they lived in two centuries past. And everyone, men and women, had the same physical features as Connor
