Chapter 65. The Camera of Truth
Samira leaned back contentedly in Brendon's arms after long hours of lovemaking. She was sated and she knew he was too. But there was something clouding his happiness.
"What is it, Brendon? Did I do something wrong?"
He took her delicate hand that rested on his chest and kissed it.
"No, Samira. You're always wonderful."
"But... So, what's the problem?"
"I saw Jasmine drop her plate on the floor, and I'm feeling guilty... For many years, she was the priority in my life. I think she was jealous." Brendon said, remembering that he hadn't given Samira the present, but he felt it wasn't a good time to talk about it. The next day he would go down to the garage with her and give her the car.
"Samira was silent for a moment, but then decided to speak.
"She wasn't jealous... She told me not to eat the soup. She said that Lurdes had put something in it..."
