Chapter 57. Emotional Blackmail

Hovar arrived with Giovanna at her fortress and paused thoughtfully before entering. All the werewolves lived there. There was his family and he didn't trust Giovanna. He loved the woman dearly, but he couldn't bring her into his life with those people. She exerted influence over people just by her presence and he couldn't allow that in his home. Pulling her by the rope that bound her wrists, he took her to the hut where he spent a few days when he needed solitude. It wasn't far from his fortress, but it was far enough away not to be disturbed. It wasn't an easy place to find, as the hut was camouflaged among the vegetation. He let go of Giovanna's wrists and stared thoughtfully at the door.

Giovanna smiled, unable to resist the opportunity to tease Hovar.

"What an interesting and secure prison..." She said debauchedly and to her surprise Hovar looked back at her and smiled.

"You have no idea how safe it is."
