Chapter 194. Traps
He hadn't seen Theo for some time and the sight of him with the owl, staring at him with a serious look, made him believe that he would never leave that forest again. Once again the owl left Theo and landed on his shoulder.
Luc looked at the old, abandoned school where Brendon and Jordan had once studied and stared at Theo over the fence that bordered the boarding school forest. His face was worried, but Luc didn't care. He needed to keep his family safe and he would. He didn't care what price he had to pay.
“From the look on your face, the news isn't good.” Luc said, crossing the fence and stopping in front of Theo. “I didn't know you'd be here too.” Luc said and looked into the forest. “It's poetic that it all started, practically here, and now, I've ended up here too.”
“You remembered.”
“Yes. And I regret it. I regretted it the moment I buried the sword in her chest.”
