Giovanna felt it even before she woke up. The sensation of lightness in her mind and the certainty that she could float away and disappear, scattering and blending into the wind, added to the old feeling of loneliness and imminent imprisonment, were indications of Hovar's near presence. She opened her eyes, ready to get up and run very fast, and realized that the sun had not yet risen, but the moon was shining so brightly that it looked like day. She stood up and as she dusted off her clothes, she heard a deep breath and turned back. Even though she knew she would see him, she was surprised, but kept her cool.

"Aren't you happy, Hovar? Why don't you leave me alone? You have plenty of werewolf women to distract you."
