Chapter 189. Beginnings

"Denny Vero, let me remind you again," Don Carlo's voice became stern all of a sudden.

"Yes, sir?" Denny replied, equally firm. As if he knew what the Don was about to say.

"If you ever make my Angel's girl, Trisha, cry, for whatever reasons, and I mean for whatever reasons at all," he paused and squinted his eyes as he gazed at Denny. " I will hunt you down, remember that!"

"Yes, sir!" Denny gave him a snappy salute like a soldier being deployed to war. He was bravely complying, no questions asked, no complaints.

"Good!" Don Carlo commented, then he opened the car door on its backseat. "Now, get home, you two, and get some rest," his tone changed into a father scolding his children with concern.

"Thank you, Father!" Denny jokes, guiding Trisha to get in the car first.

"That sounds better than Don Carlo, don't you think so, Angel?" the Don asked Trixie, who was smiling wide in joy.

Trixie nodded excitedly.

"Yes, I believe you are right
