Chapter 212. The Philanthropist
In Claudette’s mind, such a beautiful family should live long and healthily with the warm love of each other. So she is keenly and eagerly looking forward to the day to come when the mother will stand on her own feet and be able to do her motherly role to the two young Silver.
Denny went to speak with the doctor in charge and came back with Trisha alone with her mom, Elaine, in the ward.
“Honey…? Where is she?” Denny pointed at the chair where Claudette was seated when they arrived earlier.
“I asked what she wanted to drink and eat for snacks so I could go get something for her, but she insisted she would buy it so I could spend some time alone with Mom,” Trisha replied.
“She is so kind,” Denny moved closer and whispered to Trisha. “I like her a lot!”
Then Denny moved back to look at the girl on her face with a silly smile.
“But don’t let her know about that, okay?” Denny murmured again. “She might like me back. I am afraid of that happening.”
